Our Process

How We Work

1Requirements & Quote

Tell us the vehicle type, budget and destination. We check current stock and auction access and send a price quote based on the actual vehicle — auction sheet, chassis number and condition photos where available.

2Agreement & Deposit

Once confirmed, we send a purchase agreement summarizing the vehicle, price, deposit, timeline and terms below. A 30% deposit secures the vehicle and authorizes us to purchase it at auction on your behalf.

If we’re unable to purchase the vehicle — outbid, unavailable, or any issue on our side — your deposit is refunded in full.

3Purchase & Inspection

Once purchased, we arrange an independent third-party inspection (fee disclosed in advance) and share the auction sheet, inspection report, and our own condition photos and notes. Review this while the vehicle is still in Japan — this is your window to raise any concerns before final payment.

4Balance Payment

The remaining balance is due within 14 days of auction purchase, while the vehicle is still in Japan, via Wise Business or bank wire transfer. We proceed only once payment is confirmed received and settled.

A 7-day grace period follows the due date. If the balance remains unpaid after the grace period, Mirai Trading reserves the right to resell the vehicle to recover costs, refunding any surplus above costs incurred to the original customer.

If you choose to cancel after purchase but before balance payment, your deposit is refunded minus verifiable costs already incurred (auction and inspection fees). The same applies if balance payment is not received and no cancellation notice is given — only actual incurred costs are deducted, and the remainder of your deposit is refunded.

5Shipping & Bill of Lading

With balance settled, we arrange transport to the shipping yard, loading, and Bill of Lading. You’ll receive an update at every stage, typically within 3 business days.

6Documents & Delivery

On shipment, we send a digital copy of all export documents immediately, followed by physical originals via Yamato or DHL. Document couriers are insured; if a shipment is lost in transit, Mirai Trading covers the cost and time of reissue at no cost to you.

Condition & Disputes

Every vehicle is checked against its auction sheet, an independent third-party inspection, and our own documented condition notes — all shared with you before final payment, while the vehicle is still in Japan. This is your opportunity to review and raise any concern before shipment.

Once the vehicle departs Japan, this condition record is final and no further condition claims can be raised with Mirai Trading. Damage occurring during ocean transit or customs handling is a shipping-insurance and clearing-agent matter, not covered under this policy — we recommend confirming cargo insurance coverage before shipment.

Payment

We accept Wise Business and bank wire transfer only, for both deposit and balance.
